Technology Facilitator Standard I--Technology Operations and Concepts Self –Assessment
TF/TL Standard I: Technology Operations and Concepts, technology facilitators and leaders ensure that their colleagues possess the fundamental understanding and skills needed to operate specific technologies and understand the concepts associated with technology use (Williamson & Redish, 2009). I have mastered and demonstrated these concepts on numerous occasions within the confines of my school since taking this course. I have always had a strong interest in technology and consider myself to be a techno geek. Teaching educators the basics of technology operations and concepts is not as challenging as actually teaching them to integrate technology into their lesson plans.
Learn as a Learner
Because of the knowledge that I have acquired I am now one of the technology specialist on campus responsible for assisting with the Teacher Access Center (grades/attendance), the STaR Chart, professional development and minor technical issues. This knowledge has given me the capacity to assist teachers with any issue that they may have relating to TF/TL Standard I. I teach and assist teachers with setting up and using the eSchoolPlus+ program in the Teacher Access Center. This program is used to report grades and attendance. I was responsible for ensuring the completion of the Texas STaR Chart by the target date and assisted teachers with access and resetting their passwords.
Lifelong Learning Skills
I am now very receptive to the 21st Century way of learning while some of my colleagues, at work, are still stuck at the “digital immigrant” stage. I am positive when I say that most of them have mastered or surpassed the beginning stage of technology but not integration. It is my responsibility to teach and model technology to motivate these teachers to another level to ensure implementation and the success of our students. Collaborating with my college colleagues have been an awesome experience. Although, in the beginning, I wanted to be a loaner and get the assignments done on my own cognizance. Working and collaborating with educators is what I do on a daily basis and this course made it a continuous experience. I extracted tons of knowledge from this experience by using e-mail, IM, blogs, and wikis to communicate and complete assignments.

Technology Facilitator Standard II--Planning and Designing Learning Environments and Experiences
Self –Assessment
TF/TL Standard II provides a comprehensive description of how technology facilitators and leaders can support teachers during critical instructional planning and design phases (Williamson & Redish, 2009). Once educators have mastered the beginning stage it’s important for them to now apply this knowledge with technology-enhanced curriculum. My experiences during this course have prepared me to assist educators with this task. This is often a difficult task for educators who have been in education before technology was a major focus in college.
Learn as a Learner
It is very important to model technology for educators so that they may envision the process and not become so overwhelmed. I research and share websites and information with the entire campus that will assist them with the implementation of technology into their lesson plans. I introduced the campus administrator responsible for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) students to the CAST UDL Book Builder program. I modeled and explained to her how this tool would assist the students in reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. I am a member of the Site-Based Decision-Making Committee and I made a wiki space for the team to brainstorm 24/7 on ideas for the success of our campus. They were actually receptive to using the wiki. Collaborating with my college colleagues during the discussion boards, wiki, blogs, and Goggle Docs has give me knowledge that will be applied and taught to my campus/district educators.
Lifelong Learning Skills
It’s of the utmost importance for all educators to accept and integrate technology for the 21st Century Learner. Our students’ total being depends on it in order to be successful in an ever changing competitive world of technology.
